Fleas Hate Garlic Start giving your pet garlic in February or March every day. Mix two or three pills with a little moist dog food once a day. It will repel fleas because fleas hate garlic. Your pup may have garlic breath but isn’t that better then having fleas?
	Squirrel Away To keep squirrels from eating your plants sprinkle your plants with cayenne pepper. The cayenne pepper doesn't hurt the plant and the squirrels won't come near it. To keep squirrels from eating all of your birdseed, add red pepper flakes to the seed. The birds aren't bothered by it, but the squirrels hate it!
General Tip Use glue traps (the kind for mice) in the corners of rooms to catch unwanted insects such as spiders, bugs and flies. The glue traps are small, flat and inexpensive. Change them about twice a year. Shelley T, Dagsboro, DE USA

Ants Don’t Use Petroleum Jelly
To get rid of ants just rub some petroleum jelly around the infested area. Apparently petroleum jelly is toxic to ants and they will not cross it.

Chalk The Line
Ants will not cross a chalk line. Draw a chalk line on the sidewalk and watch the frustration in their little brains. Why do you think they put a chalk line on the ground around the victim at a crime scene, just kidding!
